Ellis County Safe School Program

Information for Students:

SUBMITTING A TIP IS EASY….AND IT’S ALWAYS ANONYMOUS!

  • Call 972-937-7291 (PAYS) and give information verbally to one of our call center attendants.

  • Submit a tip online via our Tip Form

  • Submit a tip via the Mobile App - P3 TIPS  ( www.p3tips.com or download directly from the App store)

  • Important - Retain the tipster ID and password for follow up and anonymous communication purposes!

School administrators and police officials agree that most students want to do the right thing to keep their schools and neighborhoods safe but sometimes fear of retaliation prevents reporting. This is why Crime Stoppers has partnered with school districts in Ellis County to implement district-level Safe School Programs in our community. We want the students to be able to report illegal activity or conduct violations without the fear of repercussion. The incentive to the student is anonymity, in addition to a cash reward (in the form of a gift card of choice to a local retailer or restaurant).

Participating Ellis County School Districts & Campuses include:

  • Red Oak ISD

  • Ferris ISD

  • Ennis ISD

  • Avalon ISD

  • Life School

Examples of When to Submit a Tip:

  • You overhear someone bragging about having committed a crime.

  • You know or heard about someone who has brought a weapon to school or a school sponsored event.

  • You witnessed someone stealing something or vandalizing school property.

  • Someone harms or threatens to harm you or another student.

  • Or maybe you just see something that doesn't look right such as a strange car, someone acting sneaky, etc.

  • If you aren't sure that what you saw or heard is really a crime or a code violation, call anyway. Let law enforcement and/or school administrators decide if it's worth investigating.
